You can do this for a specific question by clicking on the link that appears near the top of the Edt Question page. Alternatively, you can delete all responses to all questions in your survey by clicking on the clear button for the specific survey on the Manage Survey page.

• Skip logic - how do I use it?
Skip logic is used to control how a respondent proceeds through the various pages of a survey. By default, when a user clicks on the "Next" button, they will be taken to the very next page of the survey. However, sometimes it is useful to override this behavior - for example, to have them skip over a page of questions that is not relevant given their answers to prior questions.
When skip logic is present on a page the logic conditions are evaluated when a respondent exits that page. The logic conditions then control whether the user is directed to the next page or some other page.
Skip logic is added to a page while editing a survey by clicking on the "Skip Logic" button in the title bar for the page. On the Skip Logic page, there are 3 options:
1. Unconditional Jump - go directly to the next page. This option effectively turns off the skip logic if there was any for this page and will direct the respondent to the next page upon exiting this page.
2. Unconditional Jump - upon exiting page, go to page: ... This option will direct the respondent to the specified page upon exiting the current page. It does so unconditionally with no regard to any other criteria.
3. Conditional Jump. This option lets you create a set of criteria that determine what page the respondent should be taken to based on how they answered one or more questions on the current and/or prior pages.
Example: Let's look at a simple example with the following survey:
Page 1 - Background Information
- Question 1 - What is your name?
- Question 2 - What is your favorite color?
(Answer choices: Red, Yellow, Green)
Page 2 - Red Page
- Questions related to the color red
Page 3 - Yellow Page
- Questions related to the color yellow
Page 4 - Green Page
- Questions related to the color green
Page 5 - Conclusion Page
- Remaining questions and text thanking the respondent for completing the survey
In this example, respondents should only be directed to complete the page corresponding to the color they selected in Question #2. To do this, we add skip logic to page 1 such that upon exiting page 1, the logic will be evaluated and the user will be taken to the appropriate page. We will add a Conditional Jump with 3 conditions. The first condition should be set as follows (note, the fields on the screen will change depending on the type of question selected):
Two additional conditions for the Green and Yellow answer choices would be added in a similar manner. When all 3 conditions are set, the table on the skip logic page should look like this:

Note that each condition was placed in a separate "Group". Group numbers are used to group together multiple conditions that must ALL be met (for example, if you want to control the survey flow based on the answers to two different questions). In our example, we are controlling the survey flow based on one question and therefore each condition is separate and in fact, only one condition can be met at a time - the user can only have chosen one color. Lastly, you click on the "Submit" button to save the changes.
Now, when a respondents exits page 1, this skip logic will determine what page they should go to next based on their answer to what their favorite color is.
Important: while we have set up the logic to control where the user goes to after page 1, we need to add skip logic to pages 2 and 3 as well. The reason is we only want the respondent to complete the one page corresponding to the color they chose. For example, if they choose Red, they will be taken to Page 2 which is the Red Page. However, when they finish that page, unless we add skip logic to it, they will move on to the Yellow Page and then the Green Page.
We can fix this by adding Unconditional Jumps that will take the respondent to the Conclusion Page when leaving the Red and Yellow pages. We don't need to add it to the Green page because the Conclusion Page naturally follows that page already. We add the unconditional jump to the Red page by clicking on the "Skip Logic" button in the title bar for that page and then setting the jump as follows:
A similar unconditional jump would be added to the Yellow page and our skip logic is now ready.
